Matt Zabel is executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer for º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ and a member of its leadership team. In this role, he oversees the teams that play a critical role in building and protecting º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ’s reputation with a wide range of stakeholders, including its guests, communities, team, media, elected officials and more.
Matt joined º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ in 2010 as vice president of government affairs. Since then, he has led teams in enterprise risk management, reputation management, law, food safety and employee & labor relations. Most recently, Matt served as executive vice president and general counsel, leading º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ’s legal team and overseeing all legal matters for the company. He previously led º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ’s internal COVID Task Force.
Before joining º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ, Matt was chief of staff to a U.S. Senator and served at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., in a variety of roles including trial attorney and deputy associate attorney general. He also taught for 10 years as an adjunct law professor. 
Matt received his bachelor's degree from the University of South Dakota, a master's degree in international relations from the University of Bristol in England, and a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Northwestern University Law Review.
